You are taking part in the first stage of a comprehensive program that will bring our Brotherhood into the front ranks of membership data technology.
In this first phase, the information you see is read only. The critical first step is to ensure the accuracy of all information in the IBEW’s data base. That’s why we have asked you to verify your name, address, and all other information in your record.
The membership card you received contains a pointer to your MyIBEW membership record. As we develop and enhance the MyIBEW site, our vision is for you to be able to use your card anywhere that requires you to be identified as an IBEW member.
A note on security – your personal information is NOT embedded on the card. The card only points to your record. You still need to log in with your personal identification and password. If the card is lost or stolen, your information is NOT in jeopardy.
As the program develops, you will have the ability to make updates and changes to your membership record directly. Your personal space on the site will also display your benefit records, training records, a pension calculator and much more.
The program will also provide the foundation of new ways for interactive communication. That is why we are asking for your e-mail address.
